What API do I need to use Google Maps in the Panotour Maps plugin?
You need to create a Google Maps Javascript API.
How can I obtain an API Key?
The steps are described here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key
- Click on "Get a Key"
- Copy the key into Panotour.
How do I use the console?

Do I have to edit the allowed referers for my API key to work?
No, you don't have to. You only need to edit that if you want to restrict the domains that your tour can be viewed on.
Those would include:
- Your client's webdomain - *.CLIENT-DOMAIN.com/* - so that the map can show up on your client's site
- Your webdomain - *.YOUR-DOMAIN.com/* - if the tour will be hosted on your server
- localhost - to test your tour while you are building it.
Once I have my API key what do I do in Panotour Pro?
Add the Panotour Maps plugin to your tour, and set it up using the API key.
Then, once you have finished configuring your plugin go back to the Tour tab. Click on the globe icon in the bottom left corner of the workspace to launch the Web Map Hotspot Editor. From there, set the location, zoom level, and place spots.
